Tooth decay syndrome is a condition in which the tooth is cracked but so small that it cannot be detected not only by the eye, but even by X-ray, or if it is located under the gums. It is difficult to give. Most of the time, such issues and problems occur for mill teeth.

Symptoms of tooth decay syndrome usually manifest as pain and tooth sensitivity. People with this condition often feel pain or discomfort in their teeth when eating and putting pressure on their teeth and jaw. Or, for example, when a tooth is exposed to cold or heat, tooth sensitivity can cause annoying conditions.

These symptoms are somewhat similar to those seen when tooth decay occurs, but there is a fundamental difference between the two. In the case of tooth decay syndrome, these symptoms are temporary, while in the case of tooth decay, the condition usually persists permanently.

Many people with this condition may experience these symptoms for months but still do not realize the root of the problem. The fact is that the symptoms of tooth decay syndrome are difficult to diagnose.

For an accurate and definitive diagnosis, it is necessary to visit a dentist to determine the exact location and location of the crack by careful examination and testing, study of medical records, radiography (X-ray imaging), fiber optic handpiece. In general, people with a history of cracked teeth are more likely to develop the syndrome.

Cause of tooth decay syndrome

Tooth decay syndrome, like many other problems in the mouth, can have different causes. But the symptoms that most commonly cause this problem include:
Bruxism or abrasion of teeth, which may be unconscious (for example, in sleep) or intentional (for example, one of the reactions of a person in a state of stress).
How the teeth are placed on top of each other, which may cause too much to enter one of the teeth and leave it
Previous injuries and filling of teeth (especially if the amount of filling is large)
Doing someone's nerve or draining a nerve root that may cause such complications

Some of the factors that cause fine tooth cracking can be eliminated. For example, in case of wear and tear on the teeth, it is better to consult a dentist and use the available treatment methods for this problem. Bruxism, compression and wear of teeth is one of the factors that greatly increases the risk of tooth decay syndrome.

However, if this crack has happened to your teeth, you can use different treatments. For example, you can solve the problem with the help of bonding (composite materials), veneers and in more severe cases, root canal treatment (or denervation).

The type of treatment that is chosen to solve the problem depends on the type of injury, the location of the crack, its severity and other conditions, and is chosen by the diagnosis of the dentist who examined your tooth.

Therefore, we recommend that if you suspect that your tooth is cracked, see a dentist as soon as possible so that if your tooth is cracked, you can find the problem immediately and prevent the condition from getting worse.

If the crack that forms in the tooth grows, a part of the tooth may eventually separate. In addition, as the crack widens and enlarges, the risk of infection in the gums and around the damaged tooth structure will increase greatly.

If the gums become infected, you may notice a small bump on the gums next to the tooth, which is actually an abscess or purulent swelling caused by the infection.

In this case, you should see a dentist as soon as possible for more detailed examinations. Gingivitis is one of the problems that can lead to the next serious conditions, so it is better to treat the problem as soon as possible.

Cracked teeth in some cases may cause problems and side effects. The tooth generally has a strong texture and structure, but in any case it may suffer from cracks, fractures and lip fillings for various reasons, and such injuries may cause damage to the tooth nerve and problems and pain and issues. Be the next.

Depending on the type of crack and the damage, even the filling of the tooth or the veneer that has been placed on it may loosen or come off completely.
